-::A Week With Grammie::-
Words can’t describe how privileged I was this past week to spend time with one of the Gospel’s precious ladies--certainly a mother in Israel. One who many years ago left the familiar for the unknown, why? To answer a call!
Sis. Louisa Lambeth came to Esteio to spend a week with her son, Bishop Brad Lambeth, and his wife, Sis. Nara. After picking her up at the airport Tuesday afternoon, we got her to her room, had a meal and headed to Pastor Patricio’s church in Gravatai for service. It was a ladies’ service, many of which testified and sang. One lady in particular sang a beautiful song about Heaven—Heaven came down! Following service the ladies had a light lunch prepared for us in their recently added kitchen. It was delicious!

Wednesday was a fun day. We headed out to Sis. Nara’s favorite shoe store—something I think every lady loves to do—shop for shoes! Next was the ‘Tea House’ in Gramado! Talk about a table spread, meat, cheese, salty foods, cakes, cookies, pastels, vegetables, you name it, we had it! Once our bellies were full, we drove around Gramado to see all the pretty sights then headed to Igrejinha for service at Pastor Alex’s. Bro. Fabiano from Sao Paulo preached and many hearts were touched!
On Thursday we packed the van and car full again and had a beautiful two-hour drive through the luscious green mountains. Sis. Nara took us to Tramontina, a huge store with anything you would need in your kitchen and workshop. After the ladies had made their purchases we visited the local supermarket and had a picnic lunch in the parking lot! Then we headed to Pastor Vilmar’s church. You’ve never seen steep mountains and deep valleys until you travel to this church!

We had a beautiful service Friday evening at Pastor Odorico’s church. Pastor Eugenio---preached and the altar was full of saints weeping and crying out to God.
Saturday we went on a beautiful boat ride in Porto Alegre, this was a very enjoyable treat for the ladies. After one hour on the water we went to the new mall and wished and dreamed. After a sub and glass of coke in the food court we headed to Viamao to have service with Pastor Pedro Paulo.

On Sunday we were back at Headquarters in Esteio. Bro. Fabiano spoke on “The Devil Can’t Steal Your Promise”. Truly there was a wonderful move of God!

As we travelled all this past week I watched Sis. L. Lambeth. Even though her health is failing and she doesn’t remember as much as she used to, she hasn’t forgotten the One who led her here and has kept her all these years! As the days would pass you would often hear her say, “The Lord’s been awful good to me, He’s allowed me to do many things in my life! She has certainly seen the fruit of her labor and her work has not been in vain! Great will her reward be when she reaches Heaven’s gate! |
