"SinShine"

Your mind, via the eyes, “tries” to “correct” the supposed misspelling of the title above.  For a few microseconds, time stands still while the mind attempts to figure out WHY the title looks wrong; WHY Sunshine has an “i” instead of “u” (the eyes WANT to read Sunshine).  Finally, after another quick reread, the title is temporarily accepted as SinShine.  While this whole procedure lasts only microseconds, your eyes leave door into your soul wide open and vulnerable while receiving and analyzing the unusual word.

You see, regarding soul matters, your eyes are the (most) powerful doorway into your soul!  As a matter a fact, your eyes allow very little time (if any!!!) to “judge” the spiritual content of what you are seeing before releasing the images into your mind.  Then, in sequence, your mind TENDS to accept, without question, what the eyes transmit.  Finally, once the “picture” reaches the soul, it is there to stay… unless the soul is STRONG with THE WORD (and Holy Ghost) and allows for spiritual discerning.
As a matter a fact, your internal being (the REAL you) keeps ALL images forever… unless you suffer from dementia, or… are FILLED with the Holy Ghost!
A good Bible example of this can be found in the story of Jacob’s trickery of blind Isaac.  Finally, without his sight Isaac seemed a little smarter and “protected” by his other senses… Isaac said to Jacob “your voice doesn’t match your story”.  But, regretfully, when he could still see, he never “saw” the profanity that God “saw” in Esau (Hb. 12:16; Ro. 9:13… “Esau I have hated”).  I would if Isaac died without ever realizing that his eyes duped him about Esau?

The truth of the matter is that sin REALLY does shine (SinShine!!!)!  At least in the early stages of its invasion of your soul!  Eve “saw” that the tree was good for food!  Later in her life, while no one acted to save Abel from death, I wonder if Eve ever “saw” the REAL Cain?
This week Mardi Gras (Carnival) begins in Brazil.  Thousands, tens of thousands, flock to Brazil to fill their eyes with SinShine.  Because of the gaiety and laughter that fills the air… the eyes ALLOW nudity and lewd vulgarity as acceptable!  Bright colors and Latino drum rhythms add to the disconnect from a tender conscience.
As a Christian, it becomes impossible to describe (even with vague words) the type of dancing that goes on in the streets across Brazil.  Even the names given to the dances are beyond any form of decency.  For five nights Brazil becomes the pits of sin. All the while, the eyes are absorbing EVERYTHING offered!  And, without any safeguards in place, the sin (bright and shining) reaches the deeps of the soul without any type of spiritual adjustments!
Then, based on those uncensored images, the soul conceives evil thoughts and connives adultery (if not much more).
Of course, it is not just during Mardi Gras that the eyes try to override the soul’s conscience.  Everyday there are sights and images that bruise the soul.  Billboards, scant clothes, billowing (“peaceful”!?!) smoke from a cigarette ad… all of these build up to an attempted overload of the defense system of the soul.
The ONLY solution:  SEE JESUS!
In Saul’s case, the Lord had to temporarily “turn off” his eyes in order to reach his soul with salvation and anointing.  Don’t make God go to that extreme!  Rather, seek for Holy eye ointment (Rv. 3:18) so that you can REALLY see.
Be like those Greeks that were seeking Jesus.  By all indications they were nauseated with the “in-your-face”  temples of Athens and glorified marble statues of lustful (naked) goddesses.  They asked Philip “Sir, we would see Jesus” (Jo. 12:21).  That is the answer!
Then, after you SEE Jesus… SHOW Jesus to all.  Become a SONSHINE (no, this is not a misprint!)...  Shine for the SON
