Brazil is an unusual country, chockfull of conflicts and contrasts. Yet, bubbling over with sights and sounds.  Lots of sounds! Brazil is the country where thousands of dogs never cease barking… and, where no radio is ever silent.  Music fills the air! 

You see, Brazilians LOVE listening to the radio!    

As missionaries, the radio also sparks our passion… as a medium to reach distant souls!  Suffice to say, our many radio programs reach the whole spectrum: from intercity punks to rural country bumpkins.   All of this explains Cleveland Lambeths’ quest of an impossible dream: our own APOSTOLIC RADIO STATION.

“Impossible,” most people told him.  “The sea of government red tape will drown you”, others discouragingly proclaimed.  Nevertheless…    

This month, after FIVE YEARS of patient pursuit of the elusive dream, we were awarded an official radio license!  We are ON THE AIR!    

If we were to give an ear to our distracters, they would say that our license does not allow for commercials and advertisements. True enough, the license is non-profit.  However, on the other hand, we now have full control of the ONLY (known) Apostolic Radio Station of Brazil.  Best of all, the license awarded to us placed the station in the middle of 300,000 potential listeners in the mega-city of Campinas.  Replay: THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND potential listeners!    

We are on the air!

We can now say good-by to abusive airtime prices.  We no longer worry about fighting to stay on the air when we preach about the Power of Blood of Jesus Christ!  We are free from the tyranny of selfish radio station managers. What a wonderful feeling!    

The station is starting from scratch.  This means that there are many months of financial sacrifice ahead of us before we reach the quality level we expect of Apostolic Churches of Brazil's projects.  Even so, that does not frighten us… we were born for the challenge!  We are on the air!
